Hello Axel and Guys,

I tried running latest vlc-1.1.6-65.fc14.i686 and it segfaults every time I try to play back a file with 'Hardware decoding' enabled (which uses VDPAU) . The nvidia drivers are nvidia-graphics260.19.36-260.19.36-132.fc14.i686 . The error message is :

libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/va/drivers/nvidia_drv_video.so
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Without VDPAU , vlc plays ok .

Any Body else seeing this ?

There is a new vdpau-video in the building queue (0.7.2).

Please, try this new version when it comes out.

I tested the new packages (libva, libvdpau, vdpau-video) on rhel6 (nvidia 8400), and they solved a problem I was having.
When I played an mp4 video using vlc, the video was always static, only the sound moved forward.

Another point is that you have to login and logout again after updating the packages.
