Tassilo, Arash? I've just pushed my pending patches to git. One thing still open is my suggestion here: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/auctex-devel/2016-10/msg00004.html There was no response to it, so I assume it was ok :-) I'm not sure if it still applies cleanly to Emacs. If you (and others) think it is ok, I would prepare a new patch and ping Tassilo. >> Many deep thanks to everybody who has been working on AUCTeX by a happy >> long time user (it's now at least 20 years, IIRC). > > Nice to have so much loyal users :-) +1 :-) While we're at it, do we want to review our compat policy? XEmacs was supposed to go in a maintenance mode, but the way I see it, it seems to be gone (and that is a pity!). Homepage is mirrored here[1], source seems to be here[2]. The same question would go for Emacs: September 17, 2016 - Emacs 25.1 released April 10, 2015 - Emacs 24.5 released October 20, 2014 - Emacs 24.4 released March 11, 2013 - Emacs 24.3 released August 27, 2012 - Emacs 24.2 released June 10, 2012 - Emacs 24.1 released January 29, 2012 - Emacs 23.4 released March 10, 2011 - Emacs 23.3 released May 8, 2010 - Emacs 23.2 released July 29, 2009 - Emacs 23.1 released September 5, 2008 - Emacs 22.3 released March 26, 2008 - Emacs 22.2 released June 2, 2007 - Emacs 22.1 released Feb 6, 2005 - Emacs 21.4 released March 24, 2003 - Emacs 21.3 released March 18, 2002 - Emacs 21.2 released October 28, 2001 - Emacs 21.1 released Which ones do we want to support, and which to drop?
