Sorry, my words were a bit too brief. I think you won't be affected. The
relevant codes are

   (unless (or (member "pst-pdf" TeX-active-styles)
               (eq TeX-engine 'xetex))
   ...)

, so xelatex is not involved in the commits I installed.
