Hi I'd like to see if we can increase the level of technical support we offer to our international users (languages other than English) on the Forum: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=3 .
We currently have International Forums for French, Spanish, Russian and German. Christian does a fine job answering questions on the French Forum, and Edgar-rft and others likewise on the German Forum, but rather fewer questions get answered on the Spanish and Russian forums. All the International Forums could do with more people answering technical questions about Audacity in their own language, indeed it would be great to add other languages to the International Forum if we could. I'd particularly like to add Forums for questions in Portuguese (both Brazilian and European) and Dutch, as we get asked every day for help by users in those languages. So this is just a call to readers of this list to ask if there are any experienced users of current Audacity who would like to help answering Forum questions in their own language. Technical knowledge is more important than being able to able to speak in perfect English, but that would be a bonus too. If you think you know someone else who might like to share their Audacity knowledge for the benefit of others, please feel free to ask them too. If you are interested, please drop me a line off-list.
