As per http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq, the FAQ's
moved from the main SF site to the Manual from 2.0.0. Much
of the content in the Manual FAQ's has been updated and
rewritten in user-friendly style, something that is much easier
to do on the Wiki where more people have editing access.

An added benefit of this change is that Windows and Mac users
who install Audacity will have an offline copy of the FAQ's on
their computer for reference.

Some older SF FAQ's where the content is still mostly relevant
to 2.0.0 have been retained at:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq_i18n .

Seven or eight languages have a complete or near-complete
translation of those older FAQ's, thanks to the efforts of the
regular translators. As soon as we can get translations of the
new Manual FAQ for those languages, the old (complete)
SF FAQ's will be retired "as is" as legacy documentation.

So, is it possible that the regular translators or anyone else here
can volunteer to translate the Manual FAQ's for us:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ ?

This will be done online on the Manual Wiki, with "instant
gratification" - as soon as you press "Save", it's "committed"
for use when we release the next Audacity version. Translation
instructions are here:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Help:Translating .

Thanks mainly to Olivier, the French FAQ is largely translated
already. You just need an account on the Manual Wiki in order
to translate. If you would like an account, please send me an
e-mail off-list so I can send you a username and password.

Thanks in advance,

Gale
