To see the "<untitled>" string, launch Audacity then File > Save Project As... "Curve not found" is to do with Effect > Equalization. It has nothing to do with FFmpeg. You can always check audacity.pot itself to see the line in the source code that any string relates to: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/locale/audacity.pot . We see in audacity.pot: #: effects/Equalization.cpp:1708 msgid "Curve not found" msgstr "" The title of the message box says (in English) "Curve not found" and the text inside it says "Requested curve not found, using 'unnamed' " (that second string is awaiting translation). Please see attached image. To reproduce the error, click OK in Equalization then delete all the .xml files for Equalization in the Audacity folder for application data http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/manual/man/preferences.html#stored . Then remove some curves in "EQDefaultCurves.xml" in the Audacity installation folder, and run Equalization again.
