In the past we did ask for translation of the website.
We found that in most languages the translations were not kept up to date. That left a poor impression. It's hard to say 'yes' for languages we know will be kept up to date and 'no' for languages which we think won't be. So we stopped.
Thank you for your kind words and offer. Translating the user interface of Audacity makes the biggest difference for our users, and we would like to focus on that.
