As to the conclusion: as a non-US citizen, I'm afraid your correct. American politics has always seemed a bit iffy, but I think it's just possible that we now have the proof. smile

But take hope. If things go to plan, the UK will soon be a state of the US. At the rate we're going right now--the liberals having sold out to the "Conservatives" and the labour having too much vested interest (i.e. greed) to do anything to put a stop to what they began--I think it's fairly safe to say that while our processes are a little more sensible than perhaps the Merkins, our policies and politics are no less fucked up, but with the added disadvantage that we're too damned proud and impressionable to do much about it.

Edit: Prism/Tempora is what I� 39;d like to see dealt with first and foremost. In the US, people care. Over here, we just don't, and it's depressing. Be thankful for your constitution, at least.
