Re: Resource management game recommendation

This Quasar is unfortunately why i don't play such games anymore, I have had too many occasions on Ateran, on unification wars, Fantasy Empires and Ogam, where I just got totally slaughtered and there was no point. Indeed, it sort of irritates me that so many mmorpgs basically just! work like this.

The only multiplayer stratogy games I've found which aren't all about attacking other players are Solara, which you know, core exiles, where attacking other players is completely disallowed and the entire game is about trade and building up your resources. Though you start as a ship captain and can! fight, explore, trade etc, there is a huge resource management end if you want to get into it with owning factories, resource extractrs, comit miners and even your own entire settlement! (which takes major time and investment).

Muelsfel had the potential to be a major resource management game, but just never got really enough by way of updates, which was a shame.< /p>

I have however come to the conclusion that resource management is however far more fun in a single player game where you don't just balance different building stratogies and then wait to be attacked by other players. I've come to the conclusion that it's actually games that simulate a more realistic experience where you can actually conquer not just your own resource management skills but ongoing plots and desasters of the land.

This is why King of Dragon Pass and Castaways are likely my absolute favourite resource management stratogy games, since in both cases your not attacking other people, but managing dynamically according to what the environment throws at you or what is going on.
