If I remember correctly, you have to do the following:
1: From the main menu, go right twice and press x,, a, confirm or whatever.
2: Go down four times. Now I don't remember if you have to confirm again.
3: Go left once to enable accessibility mode, and then press confirm.
4: Back out of the menu and return to the main menu.
It sounds crab if the European version is different from the US version. Are you sure your game has been updated? If you're using a ps3 and your firmware needs to be updated, yu have to remember that your account is offline until you update the firmware, which as far as I remember means games aren't being updated.
Do you know if there are any differences between the EU version and th e US version?
After confirming on the settings, go twice to the right to get to game settings and confirm. After that go down 4 times to accessibility mode and go left once and confirm.
And there shouldn't be any differences as far as I'm aware of. And correct about the console firmware needing to be updated to the latest version. If you're not, then your account is offline.
