OneDrive Users: Changes for the Worse
Microsoft is lowering available storage for OneDrive users and increasing prices. Using the time-tested excuse of blaming abusers of "Unlimited" service, they are setting the ceiling for Office 365 subscribers to 1 TB, dropping the photos bonus, and setting the free tier at a mere 5 GB irrespective of your constancy to the service. Their prices are now outdone by iCloud.
This is, of course, yet another delightful illustration of the falsity of the "Unlimited" marketing label. Also of the greed and stupidity of those who signed up with the intention of exploiting that, and many of whom are now outraged to discover that it's unsustainable. When will they learn? When will we ever get truth in advertising, and simply have storage plans that make sense, are economical, and aren't "Unlimited"?
Watch out, OneDrive users.
