Yes, for sure get a teacher. While i taught myself a ton of guitar techniques, i needed a teacher for different jazz voiced chords and fingering. Couldn't have done it otherwise. While i'm most likely not as good of a singer as you dark, i can certainly be good enough for American pop and rock music, as hell, there just isn't a lot of natural vibrato lol.
