Re: Gaming headset on an hp laptop?
Headset buddy sold by formerly webtail products I'm sure sells exactly what you need. They are based on amazon, so they are easy to find. Ideally you would want one male 3.5 to 2 3.5 female adapters. Most headset buddy products support mic.
Or, you can do what I do, if you have an olympus recorder, it can also double as a sound card, you know. You take one plug into the mic port, and one into the headphone port. Then, select that as your primary device in windows.
Otherwise, you could by a regular old (y cable?) I think, though I don't promise you will have the mic part of it, at least you can plug in two sets of headphones into the same device, lol.
Also, I understand your pain very well, my friend. I have two machines with this stupid stupid. Stupid stupid, stupid. Stupid... stupid! stupid? stupid stupid connector! Oh, and did I say stupid?
Whatever though, at least if your headset supports it you can have a combined mic head output in one jack, whi
ch I don't know many that do, mostly because I am not a fan at all of that jack.
Hope this helps.
