OK, the helicopters and ships may be going overboard for now, since there are underlying issues they have to work out first. As for a safe zone, they don't exist in real life. The closest  thing to one is a no-fly zone, which is enforced by an armed force preventing a country from using its air force to bomb civilian areas. Besides, Ultrapower had a safe zone and it really gave people an easy escape from battle.
As for bleeding out, that would actually make the game very realistic, so I support that concept. However, food and water would sort of turn it into Survive the Wild, which we don't need in an action game. If you were to have these supplies, you would also need a base to store them. I totally agree with your point about body armor. As I said before, real soldiers have body armor. It would help players last longer in battle and would make it harder to kill someone instantly, which can happen if you are snuck up on by another player.
