The Japanese games fix addon only fixes the text games so you don't have to hold a modifier key when pressing enter, escape, or tab in them.
It doesn't do anything for the midi synth load times.
The text game patch should fix the midi problems, but it also crashed for me.
Maybe it is because I'm on a 64 bit OS, or perhaps newer versions of the CoolSoft midi synth don't work with it.
I'm not sure.
