Each skill has its own formula most physical skills use strength in them but some more than others. The merc uses it the most I believe one of their skills is like 3x str.
The wiki is going to be a separate webpage with things about the game like a list of items, pets, skills etc. it might have more detailed info like where to find the items and pets too.
