The preference things could be fixed by giving you the ability to rank the voices from 1 to 4. So for example I could rank my voices Nikolai, Dempsy, Doctor, Takeo. So every time I joined a game it would try to give me Nikolai first. But if there were other people who also had him as the first preference the game would randomly select who got him. Then it would try to give the person who didn't get Nikolai, his second preference, so in my case Dempsy. This would continue until everyone has a voice. So you wouldn't get your preferred voice every time, but depending on who you played with you at least got the one you like less, less often.
