I remember TapTapSee people saying that it is not done by humans directly, but I imagine this is probably only technically true and they're using some sort of machine learning trick where they have humans describe as many images as possible, and let the network guess based on those responses whenever humans aren't available. (Or let humans do it when the software fails, whichever comes first, but as fast as it can be at times, and slow at others, I'm guessing it's a mix).
(I'm not sure if their restriction on image content is because of some TOS involved in their hosting, or because they need humans to look at the images and said humans would have problems with them.)
Really, I just want Facebook to do OCR on all those text posts that are screenshots. Why do people even use screenshots instead of copy/paste? Is it a phone thing, or what?
