But ...
GW did good work. FS, mmm, I'm not so sure about. But I think that, on the whole, this strikes me as bad news. We need competition for innovation. Without a benchmark, I don't see how things will get better. Microsoft got *that* part right, at any rate--although they didn't help by saving us from that market by building anything comparable. Perhaps if Apple is what they had in mind, and assuming Apple don't pull their bloody socks up, then that's just as well. Or maybe not ...
