Re: I phone is dead.

Hi.
Ok, some steps how I make sure if the phone is working or not.
1. Make sure that the phone is really turned off and it isn't a bug in VO that the phone is not reacting. To do that, turn the silent button on the left side of the unit to the muted position. If the phone vibrates, you know that it is still running and that it is just a VO problem.
2. If that doesnt work, hold the home and power button for about 10 to 15 seconds, sometimes holding it longer can be helpfull, also when you maybe have counted down the seconds to fast.
Wait a few minutes, the phone should reboot, if not, do the following.
3. This is a little bit harder. Use the same button combo for the reboot. but instead of releasing both buttons after 10 secconds, just release the power button after that time and keep the home button pressed for about another 5 to 8 seconds, the phone now switches in to the DFU or recovery mode. Connect your phone to your computer via a USB-Cable and s ee what iTunes says.
Also, it could be a charging cable problem, this is also a factor to be checked out before doing any things wich might need you to restore the phone later on.
