Re: Online gamebooks
Arborell is awesome, as are several of the books on the ffproject site ad project aon, and choiceofgames have some good stuff. Choseyourstory you do need to be a little careful since while there are some really good ones, there is also quite a load of drek on there too.
There are also a couple of stand alone sites with just the one gamebook, mantion of malifscence and zork the chasm of doom, see the db for details.
@Grryf, not all on Ffproject are as tough as you might think, you can see the books rated by difficulty and also how many sections. There are several shorter, easier offerings to try, such as impudent peasant, bad moon rising, guarden of bones, Sharkbate's revenge, The black lobster, Nye's song, a bad week for king melchion, and Isle of the cyclopse, though i recommend playing that last one as part of the larger compliation tales from the bird islands.
Even some of the longer ones aren't too bad, alabar's tomb is one I've bee
n through a couple of times, and so long as you refresh the page to get good skill and luck scores, it's not too bad and some of the traps and turns are really rather interesting.
I actually need to give several of the newer ones like Bloodsworth bayu and golem gauntlet a try.
Also note you can save by adding a page to your favourites.
