Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
@Blindgamer, I hope you don't mind that I assume that you copied that. Judging by the way you write on here, post 1 looked way good to be your own writing.
@Andie93, No, gold wave is not good for professional audio editing. For one, it's reverb sucks. You actually require plug-in's to get the reverb to sound remotely close to something like Sound Forge's reverb. You should not need plug-in's to get something so simple like reverb to sound good. Gold Wave is for those who want a quick way of editing audio files. If you want true professionalism in the audio editing department, try Wave Pad or Sound Forge. (Oh, and the only real way you can get good reverb with the default reverb options is if you do a hell of a lot of mathematics. It involves setting point's X and Y to this value and that value, and the manual is so unhelpful that it can't be even called a manual. All it is is a 'how to' guide. I doubt it's even been updated si
nce it was first written.) At least the Sound Forge and Wave Pad manuals actually tell you what each corresponding option means, rather than leaving you in the dark with absolutely no help and no idea on what your doing. It's better to know what each edit control changes rather than to discover on your own, because you might break something. Gold wave has been known to crash computers in the passed. I have never seen Wave Pad or Sound Forge do that... ever.
