Install it as a software service and it's much more usible.

SyncThing seems to be geared towards those who don't do collaborating.

Unless things have changed, which I doubt cause of security reasons, each device has a string which you share with all the devices you want to add to your little network, unlike BTSync, which uses a key that can easily be passed around.

Someone else could probably explain it better, but if you're going to collaborate with someone, SyncThing probably isn't a good choice.

For personal use, I guess it'll work, but I'm not sure if it can do what a lot of people have done in the past with dropbox folders.

If I were to give you my device ID, then you would see all my folders, even though I haven't given you permission to access them.

I could of course be wrong.

I've only played with SyncThing briefly so I'm not really comfortable using it, at least, not for sharing folders with others.
