A commitment to accessibility generates goodwill, and goodwill is a valid marketing strategy, and can be a powerful one as well.
Apple may be ahead in the accessibility game now, but both Android with Talkback and Windows with Narrator are catching up fast. It won't be long before Apple will have some serious competition in the accessibility market. And in today's market place being first isn't as important as being best.
