I don't recommend iPhone or cheep headphones or any other form of terrible speakers for bass or any form of music. And as a bass player, bass means a lot to me. With out it, I can't listen to music. And we all know that it is possible to play chords on bass and that I do it all the time, the main roll of a bass player in a band is to hold down the low end of the music and lock in with the drummer.
