Re: A new sound art project I've created
I wasn't going to comment on this topic, since i've never had an MRI, and hope I never will have to. The thought of being enclosed in a tube for an hour or more is enough to give me the heebie jeebies as it is. But honestly? The comment that was made about wanting to have an MRI for the experience was a little unsettling to me. A medical procedure is not the latest and greatest hot sauce that you can brag about having to your friends after you've stoked the flames coming out of your mouth. It's not a psychedelic substance that you want to use to possibly expand your creativity, or a new philosophy that you heard about but were too scared to step out of your comfort zone until someone challenged you in such a way that your mind is opened. usually, people use these kinds of examples, and many more, when they talk about wanting to expand their horizons, or try new things, or have new experiences. Viewing a medical procedure that way makes me shudder a bit, if I 39;m honest. After all, most of us don't even need to worry about such things unless our lives depend on it.
