I don't know if any compiler is good at catching where unclosed string errors start. At least, that's been my experience, which admittedly doesn't consist of many compilers.
I try to figure out what general section of code the error might be in, then ctrl+f ". Then press f3 twice, make sure the quote is where I expect, repeat until the problem is found.
