@Phil: you have to twist and pull the actual parts, the bop it is a kind of slap now. Make sure you are holding the grip with the smooth, bop it on the left that you can use with your left hand.
The actions are more about trial and error, and the action mode is actually a longer mode.
Also @Microsoftsam this is a bit off topic, but I liked that you covered "it's quiet uptown" on your channel from Hamilton.
