Re: forms of accessible martial arts?
So, in talking with my Dad, he says Aikido doesn't do grappling like Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. For people who have trained in it, can you give me some info? My Dad is also saying they use strikes in this art, which, he's seeming to be worried I wouldn't catch them or something. From what I know, Aikido does joint-locks, which can be applied on the ground as well as they can standing up or how-ever. Does anybody have any examples they know of?
