Yeah, I imagine that for music it really does sound nice. The problem is that, for some reason, these enhancements always wreak havoc on any speech output a computer makes, no matter what screen reader you use. So I just try to buy decent USB headphones which compensate for this, and never use my computer's speakers, and thus the default sound card, unless I absolutely have to, which is pretty much nonexistent. I never thought I'd get to a point in my life where I'd take any digital audio signal over analog, but most default sound drivers these days are a bitch.
