You could even put that in .bash_login.
If you are CCNA certified then you'll know that you can't just open port 22 on your local network. You've got to do some forwarding to. Its probably also advisable not to open anything on a windows box as it does have some major risks. But the ones you ***pointing out*** don't exist if you secure, protect, and use strong passwords.
