I almost gave up on BK3 at the start of level 1. It might be that I haven't played many audio games, but at first I found the sounds too chaotic, and thought how am I supposed to tell what's happening. But once I got used to the difference between the sound of my character being hit, and the enemy's, it got a lot more playable and I'm really glad I stuck with it because it's a blast. And something else that took me a long time to realise, probably due to playing video games as a kid, was that you can walk straight through an enemy without taking damage. Beating bosses got a bit easier after I realised I could stand in the same place as them and just hack away.
I think BK3 is a classic game because of how replayable it is. Even after beating it, you can go right back to the start and play it over. And there's so many strands to investigate. Enjoying powering up the spirit sword at the moment by playing through normal mode from the start. You can&
