Re: Descent into Madness horror game.

Hello!
I decided to revisit this game, since I haven't played it in 9 years. I would sort of classify it as an audio interactive fiction. It's not really text adventure, but there is more audio but no realtime movement except for the part where you have to jump and duck.
Also, might it be possible to decompile the executable using a Python programme that could put it in assembly code or human language? What engine were the developers intending to put it in, and who were the developers?
I remember some browsing some sounds in the game directory and hearing what sounded like a river and some extra music.
Also, I have trouble hearing some of the recordings throughout the game, so I wasn't able to get much information about specifics, but I'm very scientific and I love anything that has to do with medicine and chemistry.
