I don't know where he gets off thinking he can possibly damage your hearing, I get that he doesn't want people cheating on his games, why would any developer or server admin, but where does he get off blaring bullshit sounds so loud they're physically painful, sorry, nope. If that happened to me, and yes I've heard the sound, but let's say it damaged my hearing to a degree I had documented proof, I'd sue the shit out of his parents, can't touch him because he's a minor, but i'd at least consult a lawyer to see if I had a case. Now, I think Sam doesn't choose his admins wisely, there's always issues with power tripping types, those who favor their friends, the whole Sam circle is concerning because its like a cult following, they warship him like a god, its weird. I actually thought of creating a petition to get him and his games off the forum, yeah just a stupid fantasy, and even if I managed to get a hundred or more signature s, its not like the forum staff would be obliged to follow the petition. I'm so sick of the bullshit. He's not a good dev, and while he may have programmer skills, and talent with audio editing / mixing, he blows chunks at the organizational side of things. He's unresponsive, lets major bugs go through beta stages, promotes friends to admin who honestly should never have been, then he wants to make excuses when people call him out on it. OK, sure, he's got school, and he's got a life apart from game development, that's fine, that's normal and its healthy. I don't think he should devote so much time to the games that the other aspects of life get unbalanced, especially education, because colleges pay attention to that shit, they like to see transcripts of high school and if your grades are low average, or below, they'll sort of mark it against you, it'll be like one strike against your app, so you want to be getting good grades. But t hen, the time you do devote to it, its like, OK, I'm going to add in features that will blare a sound so loud its painful, why, I don't know I'm butthurt people are speed hacking my game. That's just petty. As an administrator for an online game, and especially the head administrator / developer / webmaster, you take certain responsibilities to hand. You do your part to make sure people's passwords are kept encrypted and as secure as you can manage, you make sure if you accept payment, that information, if kept on your server is kept secure, you don't blare, god damn sounds, at 100 fucking decibells in someone's, mother, fucking, ear, who probably is wearing, fucking headphones, thank, you, very, much. Ahhhh... that felt good.
And, then there is this. This gem of awesomeness is a direct copy and paste from the survive the wild store page: description: This unlocks all of survive the wilds features and lets us all know that you are for s ure not a cheater when you purchase this. Now, what, is this. So, everyone's a cheater who doesn't buy that pack? Yes, when I was playing STW, I considered buying that very pack, but those words offended me. Basically, what he's saying is that if you are using a free account you're a cheater, and if you're using a paid account, you're not, unless of course you are. This crap's about to do my head in,seriously. On one hand, its laughable, on the other, its like cringe worthy. Maybe he should just shut it down, the entire online games, and just, not make any more online games, until maybe he's 25 or so and more mature. I don't know what else to say, well, except that reinsures is not a word, its reassures, but whatever on that score. So, am I insane for thinking this way, let me know.
