They can't sell it on the app store because it's only an engine. a computer is required to code the iPhone apps, so it wouldn't make any sense if you could buy it from the app store on the phone. It would make sense if you could buy it in the app store on the Mac though. You say you'll just stick with BGT, but you can't code IOS games in BGT. The Papa engine is only for IOS. Sorry to say, but I'm a bit confused.
