VS code is a very good editor that has pretty good accessibility. It is open source developed by microsoft. It has very good and intelligent code autocompletion. It is a node.js program, so It is written using typescript, which is an object oriented extension of _javascript_ and support for typescript and _javascript_ is a native feature of VS code, but if you chose to do programming with other languages, then it supports practically every language under the sun, including non-programming languages like HTML and latex.
I use it for general programming in C/C++, Java, python, typescript/_javascript_, as well as for editing non programming files like HTML and latex.
