Actually ironcross, something this old is capable to do much better than some of our most updated softwares, without any vsts. So yeah.
Of course it can't beet reaper, but surely can beet goldwave and sound forge if we don't take file formatting as an issue in audition. Because audition does not have support for flac and ogg vorbis(version1.5) and if you add support for said file formats, if you play a flac file in open dialog, when it reaches the end of the file it dies, It also dies on some sound files that are really high quality which aren't that popular.
