I just started studying automation. They said that ctrl+shift+i inserts points. Now, Osara says it inserts automation.
I don't quite get the fact that you're supposed to have two points, one where the volume will duck and another where it will end. But then, they had a point supposedly at the very beginning of the project. I selected about eight measures in the middle of a piece that I want to duck, but when I either put a point with shift E at the beginning of the phrase and another at the end with alt shift E, I find that the whole eight measures fade out slowly and continue to stay at that volume after it dropped.
I also tried adding a small envelope with two narrow points at the start of the first phrase, but it caused a tiny section of audio to fade out and then fade back in at the same level it was at before.
So, whats going on?
