I'm pretty sure clubs = crabs, yeah. And now that you mention it, that's a lot of similarity with Monster Rancher games overall.
Crab-dragon? Seriously would be fun.
Incidentally, you can win Burning Wings and Moon Stone without exploring if you do the right cup in the colosseum. Ditto the fireplace stone and whatnot.
My newest monster is a pixie-zombie and I'm raising it a bit more slowly. It's a year and a half old and still in its peak-growth phase, most of its stats in the 500-ish range, so I might be able to take this one to 999. If I don't, it will hopefully be close. It also has some neat abilities. Smelly Breath is just mean (small damage, huge lag) and Sing is also pretty good. Sound Wave is super accurate, and I'm looking forward to unlocking the last few abilities. I never seem to get the last one...still keep having trouble with that. Oh well.
As of version 1.14 I'm noticing some small lag on button presses in the colosseum, particularly when you're going through menus to skip watching fights. Oh, it would be nice if we could turn that option off and on in settings (i.e., you could make it so it doesn't ask you if you want to watch other fights, so you don't have to spam click so much). Ditto if marathons could remain at whatever speed you set them at, since it's so easy to change options on the fly. Contests, for me (as in, the beauty/cute/clever stuff) I find the least interesting, since there is not a ton of strategy.
I do like the new change to monsters, where they appear to speed up before they're about to launch a move. Means you can't just kite things to death without fail. You actually have to think a little now. And that goes both ways, of course; you aren't screwed even if the enemy plays cheap, which they sometimes do.
