Unrealized likely due to a lack of insight. They seem to have approached it from a whimsical athetics view rather than from accessibility, which is fairly evident from their GDC talk [here] where they blow off the idea of it even being possible. They should consider looking into filtered sonified depthmapping for spacial navigation and object isolation, or some of the design conventions from many of the audiogames here. It would be interesting if they could create a new character based on those systems that could be fully accessible.
