Ways to try out Windows - free and legal

Yes, you can still try out Windows including 8.1 without going illegal.
One of the changes in Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 is that one must now enter a product key in order to install Windows.
But you may still try out Windows, if you know how to do it.
And it's both free and legal.
