I don't think your going to get any hits here at this point. Most people don't see smart watches as being worth it beyond standalone fitness trackers, and the Apple watch, as you said, is damn expensive even for the base model.
Yeah there was a wave of people getting them, trying them out, then selling them, but most didn't buy another after the novelty wore off.
Maybe you should try posting a topic on the applevis forums if that kind of thing is aloud there.
I know you don't like blind bargains, but their classifieds section may also be a good place to look.
But like Jade said, scam protection and Ebay, that would work too. And sellers have ratings and reviews there so that you can check for reliability.
You can also put the product link into fakespot.com and analyze it for a bit of extra peace of mind.
