Give them some time. I'm sure you qualify, but they're usually a bit slow on responding to signups over there. There really aren't that many free and good alternative web hosting services throughout the world. Usually, if you want something worth having, a little money has to be involved. I have heard of free .tk domains from somewhere, so that may be something worth looking into.
