Okay, I wasn't clear about this in my previous post.
Spoilers below!
I've found that conveyer belt. I didn't find a person, just a treasure chest and a teleporter that took me back to the area just before that conveyer belt. I'd done this before I posted my last message, and it's after this point that I don't know how to proceed. Where do I go? There's nowhere else up here and I don't see any other exits below.
