Re: Manamon 2: Impressions Thread
I'm not sure I like the idea of a manamon being locked behind an unknown gift either. What if I happen to not be playing manamon when it's available and by the time I get back to the game, it's already moved on? And if Manamon 2 goes the same way as Manamon 1, it means unknown gifts will eventually settle down to only one gift, since it requires direct developer interaction to change the manamon. I could be eternally locked out of a new manamon, and should I ever want to delete my save to replay the game, I then have to rely on providence again to get that manamon. It's just too much like Alter Aeon, where newer players tend not to have all the cool things that older players have managed to obtain simply because they were playing at a certain time, so a new player will never be able to achieve the same kind of item collection / power than older players who just happened to be around for item / event X. It creates an elitist playing ground, which I hated on Alter Aeon (and was a contributing factor to me selling my account).
