Yeah it feels like for some reason after the Requia stuff development just suddenly stopped caring about story, or I don't know, decided to drop everything despite all the little hooks/potential for more plot.
What exactly is this black matter stuff? Where does it come from and why are random people carrying it around?
Why were the mythicals imprisoned or whatever and how did Alaza know about it?
How are the sullorb related to the mythicals, other than being magic rocks?
etc etc.
Instead of the cave just randomly opening up, this all could have turned into a second mini plot arc thing with the mythicals.
