The spikes don't actually move. They just pop on and off every so often. If you stand still on a tile with no spikes, you won't get hit. So the trick is to maneuver around and past them when they aren't active.
But don't go through that big door without all three keys. I did that on my first playthrough. It's just a waste of time.
