Re: 1942: A new strategy war game
Moderation:
Nuno69, I appreciate that you've begun making a guide for this game, but the language you're using is not appropriate for an article.
At this point, you have two choices. I'm not willing to negotiate further.
1. You take a look at your post and edit it so that the racist language is gone. Obviously, you can't edit the fact that in the game, you're a bunch of Chinese people fighting the Japanese; that much is totally fine. But referring to them as savages, scum and whatnot is absolutely not okay in a game article.
2. Your other option is to ignore this directive, at which point I will take the article down entirely, and will continue to do so if you repost it with the same language. I am entirely willing to escalate this to punishment if you persist, so I hope you don't.
I am more than willing to accept that both the Chinese and Japanese have done some pretty awful stuff over the years. This, in point of fact, is true of a lot of groups. Americans, the British, the Spanish...all sorts of groups, really. However, a game article is not the place for your personally slanted views, especially when it results in insults and the like. Perhaps you have had family who have been personally persecuted by the Japanese during the second world war? If that is the case, I'm very sorry that it happened and can understand at least some of how you feel. Again, though, an article about a game walkthrough is not the place for you to demonstrate your feelings this way.
So again, two choices. Fix the guide, or I take it down.
If anyone is wondering why I don't personally just remove the offending language, there are two reasons. First, I don't love editing other people's posts unless I must. Second, I am asking Nuno69 to be responsible for their own post and to accept ownership of its flaw, or else to accept the consequences for refusing to do so. It's sort of a principles thing.
