Re: games (Steam or Microsoft store) accessible for a totally blind person
What we really need is to have a few players sit down, at least one who can't stand inaccessibility, one that's in the middle, and one that's really capable of dealing with the headache, and then rate the most well known games on steam, both fully accessible like a blind legend and very difficult like WOW, from 1 to 3 or 1 to 5 or something so that bias doesn't come into it as much.
Hell even one person who is more in the middle could technically be good enough if it came down to it, but while people are usually very helpful when someone makes the effort to try the more difficult titles, and that's great, the initial barrier of entry is pretty high on both a knowledge as well as an emotional level.
I realize that this would be a pretty big undertaking and that, unless updated by succeeding players, would quickly become out of date as change and new workarounds are discovered, but I really think it would help make people more comfortable and further the goal of more mainstream audio gaming integration.
