EDIT: You answered while I was posting. So gonna debate you here.
I don't feel like the protection (small as it is), goes and gives anyone the right to shit on a whole community though. That's like me making a game, getting annoyed at players, going into my release topic and saying oh the whole community are lying cheating fuckwads who do A B and C, without any actual proof. I'd fully expect a warning for that though.
